How did that happen? The last two months of the year. It feels like yesterday I was putting the Christmas tree up and we are almost ready to do it again. Well A happy November to you all and what a Sober October it was. We heard from Rosamund Dean, author or ‘Mindful Drinking’ as she shared her experiences, we raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support, we saw a lot of people take on Sober October for the first time and were thrilled to see you using JOMO Club as an opportunity to support you through the month trying new alcohol-free spirits - just what we are here for, and of course, for our members who are sober and mindful drinkers all year round beyond October, we loved seeing your photos of your mocktails and hearing from you. 

JOMO Club’s November Box 2021 is all about finding some peace and quiet before the festivities begin. We bring coastal love to our members with an alcohol-free filled box with natural, plant-based ingredients from Cornwall. This box is about drinking for tomorrow and to support active living. Take a deep breath of fresh air as you get stuck into this beautiful November Box.

Pentire

The November Box brought a full sized bottle of Pentire Adrift. Providing a flavour profile which invigorates leading with distinctly herbaceous notes cutting through any tonic or cocktail, Pentire has been crafted on a love of active coastal living. 

Members also received a Pentire tote bag to carry a bit of alcohol-free love and a bit of coastal living with them everywhere they go. 

Sea Buck Tonic

One Tonic and One Blackberry and Honey

Sea Buck has a distinct, refined taste with no bitterness created from the natural Cornish spring water, sea buckthorn berries and naturally extracted quinine giving Sea Buck its naturally caramel colour. 

November’s Perfect Serve

50ml Pentire Adrift over ice, topped up with Sea Buck Blackberry and Honey, served with grapefruit garnish. The Pentire cuts through the Sea Buck flavours while being able to taste the subtle profiles of the tonic.

The Zest Co.

As always, JOMO Boxes wouldn’t be the same without The Zest Co. garnishes and our members drinks certainly wouldn’t. 

Organic, sustainably packed, this month the perfect serve and cocktail of the month was garnish with grapefruit.

Savyll 

One Paloma Tequila Cocktail and One Bellini Cocktail

Alcohol-free cocktails that are full of natural fruit flavour, but not overly sweetened. Members got to experience the two most popular flavours.

The Bellini is an effervescent fusion of rich white peach aromas, dry prosecco notes and aromatic bitters. It’s perfect for dinner parties, Sunday brunches and weddings. The Paloma is an explosion of bittersweet, sparkling grapefruit juice, a hint of lime and herbal tequila essence. It’s a refreshing change of pace from the usual G&T alternatives.

The Citrus Wave

Sipping this beauty on the beach after a dip in the salty ocean. The Citrus Wave is herbaceous, natural, zesty and light. It’s a breath of fresh air and a perfect after work or weekend unwind. Cornish Country Cordials Pink Grapefruit, Pentire and Sea Buck Tonic.

Cornish Country Cordials

Made in small batches in Cornwall, 100% natural fruit cordials for a clean, clear flavour. Adding depth and complexity to any at-home cocktail or perfect to drink on their own. This box showcased the pink grapefruit flavour for the perfect citrus twist.

Serious Pig

Cornish Salted Almonds

Serious Pig are changing the snack game forever! Their almonds are a bit different to most salted almonds - they are oven baked and the award-winning Cornish Sea Salt goes on a special way which means they don’t use oil to stick the salt to the nuts therefore not tainting the flavour. They also don’t leave you with an oily hand which is always much better.

Check out their snacking cheese and gherkins too - just delightful.

Cherry Bakewell

Not only are they full of protein, they are also filled with vitamins and minerals too. Oh and did you notice the flavour - it is a Cherry Bakewell!! We can eat a Cherry Bakewell, whilst getting our protein and vitamins. Mamma Mia!!

November’s Ingredient Card and 20 page members magazine explained how best to use the products in the box including pairing them together as perfect serves, the cocktail of the month or adding external ingredients for more complex cocktails to continue using the spirits and to get the most out of the box. The magazine had a number of articles including how Christmas Time, Mistletoe and Alcohol-Free Wine and Where to Drink When You’re Not Drinking and interviews with people first hand in alcohol-free to see what we can expect to see changing and more.
