What was in JOMO Club’s December (Festive) Box?

Today, we raise a toast to the ones we love. To those that are closest to us - our friends, our family and those who we don’t know so well but we want to give some love to because we have felt so much love from you all this year. We also want to raise an even bigger toast to the ones who can’t be here with us this Christmas. There are many actually, but wow are we lucky to have loved so many wonderful people. We won’t be sad that they aren’t here, instead we will toast to their memory and celebrate their lives in our life not just today, but everyday.

JOMO Club welcomed the first ever Christmas Box and my was it Festive! Get cosy for this one, you are going to want to get stuck in. If you missed out, my dear friends we have a special treat for you, instead of being too late, you aren’t. We are keeping the Christmas Box open for one last week! Although I am afraid the surprise is officially ruined about what’s inside - unless you stop reading now, can you do it? I know you can.

JOMO Club’s Christmas Box

Thomson & Scott’s Noughty

The December Box showcased a full sized, cork popping bottle of Noughty’s Sparkling Chardonnay. Organic, vegan, alcohol-free - what better way to celebrate the festivities and to celebrate you?!

Nine Elms No.18

To celebrate the month, JOMO Club’s December box also featured a full sized bottle of Nine Elms No.18. Beautifully rich in colour and flavour, this complex is a new type of non-alcoholic drink created to enhance the enjoyment of food. We thought no better time than Christmas to try out this delightful drink.

Root2Ginger

Would Christmas be the same without ginger? Mix it in your baking for the perfect festive twist, shake in your cocktails for an added punch or drink over ice with sparkling water for the perfect golden serve - it truly is the most versatile drink there is.

Root2Ginger have been making ginger drinks for over 25 years, so there is no better people leading the way this Christmas Day for you and your loved ones.

November’s Perfect Serves

Noughty is served simply and beautifully, chilled in a flute.

Nine Elms No.18 is paired straight over ice or can be mixed with tonic or soda for a spritz.

The Zest Co.

Clementine and Star Anise.

The Zest Co. brought Christmas in both scent and appearance to this months’ boxes! The clementine and star anise were paired in this months’ Cocktail for the perfect festive twist.

Cocktail of the Month

Mulled Nine

It’ll keep you warm on those frightfully chilly days and evenings and it’ll make your entire house smell like a scented candle for hours. Pop the Christmas songs on and get stirring as you make this delicious and our first warm cocktail of the year!

Ingredients: Half a bottle of Nine Elms, 15ml Root2Ginger, star anise and clementine.

Prodigy Snacks

Salted Dark Chocolate

With memories of sitting on sofa so full we could explode, partly due to excess turkey and partly due to excess chocolate, we wanted to make sure there was a bit of this in December’s Box as we are fairly sure you all have similar memories.

Prodigy Snacks are the first plastic negative chocolate company in the UK, whilst also being significantly lower in sugar so you can indulge without guilt this Christmas.

Mister Free’d

Barbecue Tortilla Chips

Gluten free, guilt-free, crave worthy tortilla chips! The flavour is so intense without any of the nasties. A perfect snack to share with your guests this Christmas (or keep to yourself).

Knitted Bottle Hats

Knitted at JOMO HQ, all completely different to sit on your bottles this Christmas. Enjoy the love put into these little hats, we were knitting for weeks. Share the love as you have them on display in your home or re-gift one this Christmas.

December’s ingredient card and 20 page members magazine explained how best to use the products in the box including pairing them together as perfect serves, the cocktail of the month and wonderfully festive cocktails to make over the Christmas season. The magazine had a number of articles including a piece from the Sober Dieticians, How to make a Christmas Wreath with your leftover cocktail fruit and as always our real-life story which was told by Hayley Trower, one of JOMO Club’s members.

We love seeing your cocktails and with the beautiful reds, bubbles and Christmas decor, we will love them even more this month, so please do share them with us @jomoclubofficial using #jomoclub.

We want to thank you all for your support this year. It has been overwhelming, and for that we are so grateful and always will be. We are going to take the Christmas break to create some amazing 2022 cocktails, boxes (which are mostly created already - we have some amazing things in store) and new events for members. We also have a few announcements to make throughout Dry January so keep posted for that.

We are wishing you the most wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Looking forward to Dry January, we have a box full of fresh flavours and bright colours as we embark on a new year. The box is also crammed full of vegan snacks as we celebrate veganuary.
