Space by the sea - doing what’s right for your body and mind

They say (whoever ‘they’ are) that sea air and costal living is a sound way to live.

It provides space for your thoughts, cleaner air and outdoor activities that aren’t always available in cities.

We decided to give it a try for ourselves and escape to the sea after a few years of little breaks, a lot of work and difficulty concentrating from the same spot!

Well, we can certainly agree with ‘them’! Laying on the beach listening to the waves crash against the shore watching the curious heads of seals pop up every five minutes was just wonderful.

We sat in our own thoughts - sometimes sat thinking of absolutely nothing, which in itself felt long overdue. We sat reading or chatting , taking a dip every now and then in the freezing cold waters. Perfect.

When back at the ranch, it was a place we could get our thinking cap on. A place to get creative again and explore new surroundings. We created new designs for upcoming boxes, we created new flyers, we thought of new cocktail names and we started on the Sober October Box Magazine!

Once work was done, we could get to the beach in 15 minutes to watch sunset or have fresh lobster for tea !

Whether it is escaping to the sea to reinvigorate you or simply a change of scenery - it’s important. We have all had a tough few years with little breaks, little change of scenery and therefore little divide. Take some time for yourself and don’t feel guilty to take time away from work, it’s important for you and it’s going to be important for you to be able to carry on working, as burnout is a thing.

Book that trip away, visit family, take a day trip even to dip in the cold waters - you deserve it and so does your body and mind.
