Sip back and relax - CBD infused coffee for your daily dose of calm.

Does your morning routine include going down the stairs to make yourself a coffee before almost anything else?

You’re certainly not alone. Coffee is the most popular drink worldwide with around two billion cups consumed every day. In the UK, we now drink approximately 96 million cups of coffee every day.

To take a step back, Health & Wellbeing has been growing and people are looking for continued ways to support both their physical and mental wellbeing. This is everything from juices to superfood powders to fermented foods to supplements to CBD - and this is where I start today’s story.

CBD has been growing in popularity over the past few years. It is starting to gain momentum in the health and wellness world with many scientifically backed benefits. CBD has historically had some negative stigma associated with it, so increased awareness and education around the hemp plant has meant that more people are open to trying it and seeing its incredible benefits.

For those of you reading this that may not know, CBD stands for cannabidiol and is the non-psychoactive compound found in the hemp plant. It does not get you ‘high’. It can be used for a range of things which can be very personal to the individual and has been shown to help people feel relaxed and focused with many using CBD for anxiety or to improve with sleep and pain relief.

So, how does coffee come into this?

Well, CBD oil is not the only way of consuming your daily CBD or no dear reader. CANNACOFFEE has introduced CBD in one of the most commonly consumed beverages that most of us can’t live without! CANNACOFFEE wanted to make it as easy as possible to have your daily CBD dose bringing it to your daily routine, whilst tasting absolutely delicious.

The best part is we have to be taking a look at both the CBD and the coffee element here. This isn’t just about taking in CBD and through whatever means. CANNACOFFEE’s coffee is rivalling great tasting ‘ordinary’ coffees on the market meaning this really is coffee with added benefits and not a chore (bringing me back to the days of a shot of wheatgrass - that certainly was a chore).

Their coffee is organic, sustainably sourced from Santos, Brazil. It is organic certified by the Soil Association and is Single Origin 100% Arabica. The coffee is sweet, smooth and nutty with notes of chocolate.

So, why would you drink a CBD infused coffee?

When combining a low dose coffee and CBD, it can help to boost your mood and keep anxiety levels at bay to help you feel energised.

We can say that we certainly vouch for it. We have swapped out our coffee for CANNACOFFEE after removing regular coffee following a burst of anxiety. Our coffee is usually freshly ground, extremely premium coffee beans and CANNACOFFEE stands strong against it. Not only that, but after going on holiday and not drinking the coffee for three days but regular coffee again I felt some anxiety bubbling up again. Was it other determining factors? Maybe, but I found it interesting to experiment with and will certainly be switching straight back to it when I return.

We asked CANNACOFFEE whether they think functional coffee will start to be a norm in peoples lives and in coffee shops and restaurants over the coming years. The told us ‘yes we do! This is already an established and growing market, we have seen this over recent years with the likes of other functional Hot Beverages such as Turmeric, Matcha etc. We believe there is an ever-growing shift with consumers looking for more functional benefits and advantages from their everyday items. With more and more health-conscious consumers and the recent pandemic there is an increased focus on health and wellbeing that we believe will only continue’

CANNACOFFEE is available in beans, ground and Nespresso compatible biodegradable pods. They can be bought here and also found in Daylesford, Selfridges, Zapp and Amazon.

You can also find CANNACOFFEE in JOMO Club’s Limited Edition CBD Box which forms the Espresso Martini and can also be drunk solo. This can be purchased here.
