Non-Alcoholic Cocktails vs. Desserts - Why Choose?

We have a sweet tooth. We can’t and we won’t deny it. What we will say however, is while exploring our own relationship with alcohol, we have trained ourselves to mostly stay away from the desserts and snacks that are sky high in sugars, preservatives and nasties leading to energy crashes, headaches and a slightly weird taste in our mouths.

During this quest, we have been delighted to see more options pop onto the market that really offer a great sweet option without the rubbish downsides.

One company we discovered years ago now, is Coconut Collaborative. As the name suggests, they offer all things coconut for a plant-based, delicious snack.

We started our journey with Coconut Collaborative’s coconut yogurt after finding them in Waitrose. We had their pots in the office (remember those days) to see us through the afternoon. As we were putting together our March JOMO Box however, we were extremely excited to see a chocolate addition to the Coconut Collaborative’s range!

They had us at ‘choc..’. Coconut Collaborative’s Choc Pots are like little spoonfuls of heaven and were JOMO Club’s first ever dessert for members to try out!

They are silky smooth - think chocolate ganache I suppose - and we couldn’t get enough.

If you are a chocolate fiend like us, they also have the melting chocolate pots for a chocolate fondant vibe.

Perfect for dinner parties and especially good for vegan guests when you just have no clue what to make. Although plant based, the chocolate pots have placed flavour first so are by no means limited to those that practice a plant-based diet. Hey, you can even pair them with the Coconut Collaborative Custard if you want the full experience!

If you would like to get a little creative with your yogurt once you’ve had the blueberry and straws combo, Coconut Collaborative have a whole host of recipes you can try out from pancakes, to chickpea and mushroom gratin to a matcha hot chocolate.

You can find all of these here.

‘But we didn’t get in on the JOMO March Box action, so where can we get our coconut fix’ we hear you ask.

Wherever you get your shopping, you can just pop your favourite Coconut Collab items in your trolley. ASDA, Coop, Morrisons, Tesco, Waitrose or Sainsbury’s - they have you covered.

Make sure to follow their journey for latest recipe inspo too @coconutcollab. Enjoy your coconut experience - once you go there, you just won’t stop.
