Non-alcoholic festive winter warmers 

With Christmas in sight and dinner parties in the diary, we wanted to bring to you a few of our favourite festive non-alcoholic cocktails to make for your guests, for yourselves and to enjoy on those bitterly chilly evenings!

First up is our December Box Cocktail of the Month: Mulled Nine!

This take on a mulled wine is as festive as it gets. It not only tastes like Christmas but it makes your entire house smell like it too. You can bring your own twist on this warm cocktail depending on what you do and do not like. 

Mulled Nine: 

Ingredients

Nine Elms No.18

Root2Ginger 

Garnish: Clementine, Star Anise, Cinnamon 

Method

  1. Pour half a bottle of Nine Elms (to make 2-3 cups) in a saucepan on a medium heat

  2. Add in 15ml of Root2Ginger, slices of clementine, star anise and cinnamon sticks.

  3. Heat for 15/20 mins stirring occasionally.

  4. Pour into heat proof glasses and garnish with fresh clementine

Non-alcoholic Mulled Rum

Ingredients 

Lyres Spiced Cane Spirit 

Root2Ginger 

Garnish: Orange, Cinnamon 

Method

  1. Mix 35ml Root2Ginger and 35ml Lyre’s in a heat proof glass.

  2. Top with hot water.

  3. Garnish with a slice of orange and a stick of cinnamon.

Holiday Spritzer by Diana and Kerry, the Sober Dieticians. 

Ingredients 

1 sprig rosemary 

2/3 cups 100% pomegranate juice 

2 teaspoons lime juice

1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

1 - 1 1/2 cups seltzer

Garnish: rosemary and pomegranate 

Method

  1. Muddle the rosemary in the bottom of the shaker.

  2. Add the pomegranate juice, lime juice, apple cider vinegar and ice.

  3. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.

  4. Strain the mixture into two champagne flutes.

  5. Top with seltzer and stir

  6. Garnish with rosemary and pomegranate.

Our Christmas Day Pick
