Well, we have you covered with some of our favourite Spring time alcohol-free cocktail recipes. Just crack out your alcohol-free spirits, your glassware and some ice, and you can enjoy a delicious drink completely free from alcohol.

1. Grapefruit Gimlet

The slightly sweet and tart flavour of grapefruit mixed with the juniper from an alcohol-free gin helps make the Grapefruit Gimlet a delicious, refreshing alcohol-free cocktail, perfect for Spring.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Rim a short glass with lime and salt and cool them.

  2. Add all your ingredients to a shaker with ice.

  3. Shake until mixed and cooled.

  4. Strain into your glass and garnish with a slice of grapefruit.

2. Lavender Bees Knees

The Bees Knees didn’t get its name by tasting bad - it really is the bee's knees! It is a delicious take on a gin sour, but with added sweetness to add complexity to the drink. This alcohol-free cocktail is a lavender adaptation of the Bees Knees and is the perfect floral drink to bring in the Spring.

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml alcohol-free gin - we would recommend New London Light

  • 30 ml simple lavender and honey syrup

  • 15 ml lime juice

Method:

To make the lavender and honey syrup:

  1. Combine 250ml water, 250 grams of sugar, 1 teaspoon of honey and 4-5 sprigs of lavender in a pan.

  2. Bring these to a boil and then take off the heat.

  3. Let this cool and sit for 15 minutes.

  4. You can store the syrup in an airtight container for up to two weeks in the fridge.

To make the non-alcoholic cocktail:

  1. Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

  2. Shake until cooled.

  3. Strain into a cocktail coupe and garnish with a sprig of lavender.

If you want a longer drink you can also top the drink with tonic water.

3. Chamomile Toddy

This Spring everyone seems to be down with some sort of cold or virus, but an alcohol-free hot toddy is the perfect drink to help your sore throat. Add in some chamomile tea and you’ll soon find yourself relaxing into a nice healing sleep.

Ingredients:

  • One shot of alcohol-free whiskey, rum or brandy - we would recommend, Caleño Dark Rum, Clean Co Clean R or Crossip’s Dandy Smoke.

  • One cup of chamomile tea

  • 2 tsp honey

  • Optional one shot of Gimber or a slice of ginger

Method:

  1. Steep your chamomile tea in hot water until you have a cup of hot chamomile tea.

  2. Add the alcohol-free whiskey, rum or brandy and the honey.

  3. For more of a kick add in a shot of Gember or steep a slice of ginger in the drink.

  4. Stir until mixed and pour into an Irish coffee cup.

  5. Garnish with star anise, ginger or a stick of cinnamon.

4. Strawberry Everleaf and Tonic

For a sweet strawberry-flavoured, non-alcoholic gin and tonic, we recommend choosing an Everleaf spirit. With the addition of strawberries, this sweet drink will make you really believe that summer is on the way!

Ingredients:

  • 60 g strawberries

  • Half lime juiced

  • One shot Everleaf Mountain Spirit

  • A handful of mint leaves

  • Tonic water

Method:

  1. Prepare the strawberries by removing the hulls. Add some mint leaves and pour lime juice over the strawberries. Using a pestle, a fork or something heavy, crush the strawberries and mix everything together.

  2. Add this mixture to a tall glass with ice.

  3. Add in the Everleaf Mountain Spirit and stir well.

  4. Top with chilled tonic water and add a fresh strawberry as garnish.

5. Raspberry Moscow Mule

The Moscow Mule is traditional and easy to make, but we’ve decided to add a Spring twist to it with the addition of raspberries. The great thing about this drink is you can really make it with any alcohol-free spirit you want, although traditionally an alcohol-free vodka would be used.

Ingredients:

  • 8 fresh raspberries or raspberry puree

  • 1.5 shots of alcohol-free gin - we recommend New London Light.

  • 1 shot of lime juice

  • 1 tsp (or more to taste) simple syrup (1:1 water to sugar)

  • Ginger beer

Method:

  1. Add your raspberries to a shaker and muddle them. Or, if you do not have fresh raspberries, then add your raspberry puree to a shaker.

  2. Add ice, the alcohol-free spirit, lime juice and simple syrup to the shaker. Shake until cold and well mixed.

  3. Strain into an ice-filled glass and top with ginger beer.

  4. Garnish with raspberries or a lemon or lime slice.
